MANIPURA CHAKRA

Manipura is the third chakra. We came from the gross body, almost unaware and blind control by our instinct like an animal, then slowly we got awaken by our senses, we became driven by them. Like and dislike became our main pull or source of energy but now our awareness start to grow, the self is showing itself. We become aware of our own identity our own uniqueness. This is the energy of manipura chakra, Symbolise by the fire element, know as the solar plexus, its is the house of our Ego. It ruled our personal power, give us strength and energy to move forward. Probably one of the hardest Chakra to open and too balanced properly. Because of this energy we can push ourselves forward and discover new reality. It is because of the ego that we develop strength and power. In that sense it can be a great friend. But if it become the only energy acting it become less of a friend it keep us stagnant and restrict our evolution by keeping the Self in the small shelf of the self. The greater Self is beyond the I. Like we understood we have in us the potential of realizing the Energy for what it is not for what we think it is. We need to become the Energy and to do so we have to go over the self identification we need to be able to open up to a greater understanding of Self. Definitely pranayamas, bandhas, mudras, asanas kriyas are great practices to work on for developing Prana in the chakra. This will built up the energy will start to awaken manipura, the ego the I will become stronger and stronger. But when this force is awakened we have to learn to let it go we have to learn to work with it and not being work by it. So the advice practice here is Karma yoga, the Yoga of action. Learn to work selflessly, learn to give freely and to perfect your action for the benefit of all.
“As long as the evolution is in the planes of mooladhara and swadhisthana , one has mental and emotional problems and see the whole world correspondingly, but as soon as one transcend these planes and go to manipura, all the bliss noble views, perfect ideas and greater possibilities of human consciousness are seeen.” Swami Satyananda Saraswati.

The Navel chakra is about asserting yourself in a group. When it is open, you feel in control and you have sufficient self esteem. When the Navel chakra is under-active, you tend to be passive and indecisive. You're probably timid and don't get what you want.
If this chakra is over-active, you are domineering and probably even aggressive. Ewald Berkers
