Some advices

Diet: reduce your meat and alcohol intake and try to eat regularly same time every day. An Empty stonmach before the practice is  absolutely necessary. Don’t eat at least 4 hour before the practice.

Illness: if you suffer from any physical illness or serious mental or emotional problem the advice is not to start kundalini yoga.

Time of practice: The intermediate Class is a preparation for advance kriya practice which are preferably done  before dawn (brahmamurta).  But we understand that in our present life rhythm such a schedule is difficult to maintain. So, Try to be regular in your practice, at the same time every day or so. Better to choose an hour where you won’t be disturb by the phone the neighbour or your Job. I strongly suggest to put away the computer or tv few hours before your practice such  devices are very unsettling for the brain wave.

Sometimes we require a break of practice, don’t be to hard on yourself and enjoy a few days off. Just remain alert and aware of what you are doing. The mind is a tricky friend and don’t necessarily like changes, pattern are hard to root out but the present practice will bring great result if you keep focus and determined.

Preliminary practices. Try to take a cold shower before your practice and warm up your body with a few asana before starting. Before the class time, is limited at the studio, so if you can do a few suryanamascar and basic stretch  the rhythm will be smoother for everyone.
